RADISSON RESORT-Recently Meg Basset & Perry Brne of Valparaiso, Indiana vowed their love to one another on Aruba’s pristine beach at Radisson Resort. The lovebirds met on Match.com, after getting to know one another they met and started dated. It was love at first sight that blossomed into an everlasting love. Within a year they both knew it was time to tie the knot.

Perry, a policeman, is retiring upon their return home after 30 years of service. Meg works in the medical field as director of medical staff service credentialing physicians and working with medical education.

They searched for the perfect place to wed. After many highly recommended reviews on wedding destinations they choose Aruba.

Meg walked down the aisle as Perry gazed at her beauty; they held hands, vowed their love and became one under Aruba’s sun. Bella Aruba Photography captured the moments as they unfolded while the sunset with gorgeous hues disappeared behind the horizon. The newlyweds dined at the Radisson on the beach with tiki torches lit, a calm ocean and a night to remember under the moon light.

I am so delighted to share the news that Bella Aruba Productions will be renting photo booths for all occasions.
So many brides have asked in the past about photo booth rental and I just did not have the time to get it started.
Last weekend while I was enjoying a dinner with old friends I met the wife of our dear friend. Wedding was the topic as everyone had asked where I disappeared to and within seconds I heard her say I rent photo booths for all occasions and I am swamped this summer. Well in our conversation I asked if she was interested in setting one up in Aruba as this has been a huge hit in USA.

I am back in Aruba for Holidays

Hello everyone, It is so good to be out of Michigan during the cold snowing winter and back in Aruba with my lovely husband for the holidays. The children are glad to see their dad after 4 months away and we are just relaxing with beautiful weather.
I would like to express my happiness to all my 2010 newlyweds and to the new couples who have decided to get married in Aruba this coming year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, may you be blessed with happiness, health, love and best of all each other at this joyous holiday season.

Hi everyone,

I have to say thanks to all my clients and coordinators this year for a fun filled wedding extraordinaire for 2010. Bella Aruba Photography is proud to announce that not only am I living in Aruba but I am also living in Michigan. This year my husband and I had to make a future choice for our children s education. With that said I moved back to Michigan in August, home sweet home and enrolled my kids in school. I have been back to Aruba twice and returning Tuesday for 2 weeks of weddings, renewals and lots of photo shoots.

I just want to point out that I love going back to Aruba with no extra costs to my clients. I have my dear husband who stayed in paradise running our family restaurant the Buccaneer. So every time I return I get a honeymoon without the kids as they continue their studies on my short trips away.

So a big thanks to my brides that I had this past summer who have been very patient and understanding.

The year has started off great; I took 3 months off and catching up to new creations for the studio.
We just finished building my photography studio and I love it... Bought some frames that need photos to fill them and creating new Coffee table books from various companies including flush mounts.
I also started a new gallery for this year with Pictage to release images by password to clients. This site is great because not only do you get to choose your own photos but you can share your special event with all your guests. That's not all though they can purchase right from the site and never bother you throughout the year.... Yes I am excited and when I started it in November it took off great and everyone loves it...
Many clients throughout the year were asking me about Bella Aruba website and I answered honestly that I did not want to start one because I love giving my special attention to my clients and not get bombarded with emails from everyone. Well I changed my tune and have started a website. The website is bellarubaphotography.com. It has been a challenge but in a great way.
I have hired a secretary to help me out and also an editor for great results. I have made it my passion throughout the years to give the best and I have succeeded. I want to thank all the coordinators in Aruba for trusting my services and all my loyal clients. I love the great comments they post on the forums and the special thanks in return.
I love my passion in photography that I once started in Michigan and thought I would never do again because I started my family but to be honest it has been a blessing in disguise that started out in the Aruba Today newspapers as I captured different weddings on the beach and publicized them...I got great revues from resorts and Bella Aruba began.

I always wonder why people bring their cameras to a beach wedding? I’m not talking big fancy cameras but the small ones: It never bothered me until recently, I truly am exhausted by telling couples and family members to put down their camera while I took a photo of them. I asked one couples father that I would be more than happy to shoot the image but without his camera in the photo. I had to repeat myself over and over because everyones eyes were wondering at different places. Hello look here, smile, It is a one time chance to get a family portrait and everyone looking at the lens. I say this to you brides not because I do not want anyone else taking photos but to remind them that you hired a professional photographer to shoot your wedding.
Why do newlyweds pay me for professional photography if Aunt Sue and best friend John want that perfect shots with their Minolta digital camera?
Imagine I am shooting your wedding and I have your parents up next for family shot and mom decides to look at her sister and dad looks at his son who hold their camera and they are not thinking of that perfect shot.
Think about this, you are paying me for your Aruba Wedding album, perfect photos delivered to you. I guess what I am trying to say is that it takes a moment to ruin a perfect photo especially if you have wandering eyes and everyone is waving behind the photographer to get their attention.
Many coordinators tell the couple ahead of time that no camera's are allowed while other coordinatos explain to be corteous and not get in the photographers way. More than always it's the same story.
I ask myself well maybe they think they are better than me or just think they will capture the moment and shoot a forever shot. Truly I don’t understand anymore why others bring their camera. I have tons of photos I can share with all of you but I have a selected few that I would like to share. Mind you I take at least 2-3 shots of the same image for bigger groups to make sure I have the perfect photo. I also want to point out that I do not write this blog to anger you, but to realize that during your special day it is hard to get a great shot of the kissing during the “I Do” when you have 4, or 12 people on the opposite side of me trying to get that same pose. .
I suggest letting your guests know that their will be a professional photographer at the wedding and that your wishes are to have everyone in their seats during the ceremony so the photos look perfect and that they are not in the camera persons way.

As I was shooting her parents 10th anniversary I overheard her talking about her husband in Afghanistan at war and how she missed him dearly and wished he could have been here to see her parents renewal in Aruba. She looked so beautiful that I could not pass up the moment. This photo put tears in everyone’s eyes after viewing on my camera. As soon as I got home I immediately made this a photo to remember.

Tips on hair-do's in Aruba
Hair is the most important thing to a girl, hair makes you beautiful and confident and when planning your Aruba wedding hair should be #1 on your special day.Tips on Aruba hair-do's.
1.) Hair looks great in an up do style, reason being is that many brides get to the alter and during the ceremony she is constantly brushing her hair away from her face or just ignoring it and ruining every picture with her eye covered in hair. If you choose to where your hair down which I love as well since I have curly long hair than I would recommend putting up the sides and letting your hair blow in the wind and have no problems.
2.) Wear lots of hairspray, many brides do their own hair or have someone in the wedding party do it, that’s fine and dandy but you have to realize that Aruba has an awesome wind and you do not feel the humidity. What happens with humidity? Yes your hair will fall back to wear you began after you blow dried it.
Fine hair , I suggest to tease your hair in place and use gel or mouse to make it sturdy and every curl you make with the iron to hairspray it while on the iron and after you take it out re-spray again. Within an hour your hair will relax in place and then you can continue with putting on your veil and having your hair stay in place. A great product that I believe in and reasonably priced is Sebastian Laminates body thickening polish which works great to create body and shines your hair. Try it at home before doing it in Aruba on your wedding day.
For curly thick hair (which is what I have) I suggest to mousse your hair and maybe use an anti frizz such as Redken glass or Sebastian Laminates drops liquid polish or Paul Mitchell soft style sculpting hair gel to get rid of the fuzzies and make your hair shine and look perfect. I tell my brides to let the curls flow and not to hairspray it to the point of no movement.
I personally was a hairdresser back in the days and I dealt with many brides and I can assure you that I have walked into rooms for pre ceremony photos and found a few brides crying because they do not like their hair. I recommend finding a hairdresser at your resort or any local hair salon and doing a pre-session to make sure that the hairdresser gives you the style you like. 3) Hair Salon-If you choose to get your hair done by a local in Aruba that's great. There are many professional hairdressers who will come to your resort and do the entire bridal party so you don't have to run around. Many resorts have their own hairdressers to use to. Bring in a sample or a ideas they can work with and if you plan on putting your hair up with a rhinestone clip than buy it at your local Sally's or Claire in your hometown. Give at least 30 minutes per person, if you are doing makeup and hair at least an hour. Get started early at around 1 or 2 pm so you can relax and have everyone ready when the time comes.

Hello brides to be:
As a photographer I want to point out some tips to help you look perfect on your special day.
Tan marks is a NO NO, make sure that when you want to tan in Aruba's sun to wear a bathingsuit that matches your dress detail. Many brides have a strapless dress and on their wedding day walk down the aisle with a halter suntan.
Thats not all though, have you ever looked at a photo of your summer vacation and said to yourself Wow I look great in a tan, well I did too but not on your wedding day because depending on your skin tone you might be a little saturated in photos or be to tanned next to your parents & guests in photos.
I have many brides who wish I could of told them previously but because many brides go through coordinators I do not have a chance to personally speak to them until they walk down the aisle.
Enjoy the Aruba sun, wear sunblock and remember to remind your guests that we are close to the equator and with Aruba's wind you don't feel the sun's penetration until it's to late.
